KADF County Agricultural Investment Program (CAIP)

The Franklin County Cattlemen’s Association will host an informational meeting for the 2024 KADF CAIP Cost Share on August 26th at the Franklin County Extension Office, 101 Lakeview Court, Frankfort. CAIP (County Agricultural Investment Program) is designed to provide farmers with incentives to allow them to improve and diversify their current production practices through its 11 investment areas.

Applications will be available at the meeting, on the Franklin County Extension website at http://franklin.ca.uky.edu, or at the Extension Office. Application signups will run from August 30, 2024 to September 20, 2024.

To apply, you will need your social security number, farm serial number and a copy of your Ag Water Quality Plan and must be a Kentucky Resident (residency is determined by a valid Kentucky driver’s license or photo ID and one utility bill. The address on both the ID and utility bill must match the address provided on the CAIP application. A copy of both shall be submitted and placed in the file with application) You do not have to own the land you farm to participate. Anyone over the age of 18 may apply. Successful applicants are determined by the state ranking system. The cost share is 50%, not to exceed $5,000 and will likely be less since it is pro-rated among all approved applicants.
