West End Homemakers' Club (WEHC)
**Enjoy Fellowship with Friends!**
Our club meets the first Monday of every month from September to December and March to July at 5:30 p.m. During meetings, we share ideas, partake in activities like crafting for the Children's Holiday Store, discuss community involvement, and enjoy refreshments. The December meeting features our Christmas dinner and an optional secret sister reveal with food, games, and laughter.
We vote on donations to community causes and receive research-based information from UK Extension Services. Topics include technology, First Aid, mental health, cooking, and more. We offer special interest classes such as cooking with cast iron and healthy lifestyle choices.
Members engage in community service by creating cards for assisted living residents and participating in the Children's Holiday Store, where children can buy gifts. Profits support local charities like The Kings Center and Salvation Army.
We also participate in various county, area, and state programs, and enjoy trips to local attractions and yearly KEHA State meetings.
